“Still today it fascinates me that it is possible to make a felt garment in one piece without making use of scissors, needle or thread. I enjoy all felt making and continue to look for new modern possibilities within this ancient craft.”
Because of her Scandinavian roots and training, Christina Roser has had a lifelong interest in design and creativity. It was no surprise therefore that when she had her first encounter with felt, she was inspired to learn more about this versatile and ancient craft.
Between 2001 and 2006 Christina attended workshops and researched the work of leading felt makers from all over Europe. From them she learned about the many techniques that have transformed traditional felt-making into a sophisticated modern craft. Christina's work brings together a myriad of influences, techniques and materials, culminating in the creation of her own unique style.
